Overview

Role:

The Pool - Internet Sales Coordinator has primary responsibility for managing the marketing and selling Thrift Store merchandise on the internet. The Coordinator works closely with Thrift Store Managers.

 

Qualifications:

  • Education equivalent to 2 years of college or substantial work experience
  • One year experience marketing and selling merchandise on auction websites, especially eBay website
  • Knowledge of shipping and handling protocol with U.S. Post Office, UPS, and other shipping companies
  • Volunteer management experience
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds
  • Highly organized and detail oriented; ability to manage many tasks simultaneously
  • Mobile Driver - Valid driver’s license and automobile insurance per Company policy Competencies:

  • Internet Sales: 
  • Develop and maintain Thrift Stores storefronts.
  • Maintain prioritization of items to be listed.
  • Determine appropriate pricing of items based on auction site research, information from colleagues and other web sites.
  • Post items of special value or uniqueness on action sites based on thrift store manager identification and recommendation.
  • Monitor auction websites for sales activity.
  • Monitor banking accounts to ensure proper reconciliation of auction site fees, shipping fees and money collected from sales.
  • Transfer monies between bank account.
  • Ensure sold items are packed and shipped on a timely basis, according to handling time listed in posting.Volunteer Management:  

 

  • Ensure volunteers are aware of outstanding questions/concerns of potential buyers and they respond in a timely manner.
  • Provide on-going support for any auction site related activities for volunteers posting on these sites.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for volunteers.
  • Train volunteers on auction site procedures.
  • Ensure volunteers post items in a timely manner.
  • Ensure volunteers take pictures of items and write detailed descriptions to maximize auction sites searches. Other:

 

  • Provide sales reports and analysis by store on a monthly basis to thrift store managers.
  • Communicate with auction site thrift store colleagues for continuous quality improvement of Thrift Stores storefronts.
  • Monitor other thrift store storefronts for best practices.
  • Procure and maintain supplies for volunteers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
