Overview

Role:

The Project Manager is responsible for developing, organizing, and monitoring all activities related to assigned projects. Acts as the key day-to-day supervisor to drive projects to completion. Interacts with all levels of staff and management. In collaboration with executive management, oversees all projects to ensure they are completed within budget, by project deadlines, and meets or exceeds expectations. Serves as a liaison with all project resources. In collaboration with other departments, develops financial analyses, documentation, processes, reports, project plans, budgets, etc. associated with projects. Provides comprehensive updates and status reports to management and other stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • College degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or related field
  • Minimum four (4) years’ experience serving in a project management capacity; management experience preferred
  • PMP Certification from PMI or the ability to acquire certification within six months
  • Ability to work independently and in team-oriented/collaborative environment
  • Strong problem solving and analytical abilities
  • Solid understanding of systems, process design, and operational concepts
  • Adept at conducting research into project-related issues
  • Well-developed communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
  • Professional presentation and facilitation skills
  • High computer proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Microsoft Project
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, exercising discretion and independent judgment
  • Ability to effectively prioritize, execute tasks, and exercise sound judgment in stressful and crisis situations
  • Intermittent Driver - Valid driver’s license and automobile insurance per Company policy

  • Serves as the day-to-day supervisor for projects, ensuring projects are completed on-time, within budget, and meets or exceeds expectations.
  • Acts as liaison between internal and external resources.
  • Recommends project strategy, identifies best methods, processes, and develops project planning.
  • Assists in defining project scope, goals, and deliverables to support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
  • Continually manages project expectations and deliverables.
  • Assists with internal/external communication and represents the project to both groups.
  • Under the direction of the department management, develops full-scale project plans and associated communications documents.
  • Effectively communicates project expectations to internal and external resources in a timely and clear fashion.
  • Drafts and submits budget proposals, and recommends subsequent budget changes where necessary.
  • Where required, negotiates with other department managers for resources and issue resolution consensus.
  • Delegates tasks and responsibilities to appropriate resources.
  • Assists management with defining report requirements and validates reporting results.
  • Coordinates and assists with quality assessment and performance improvement (QAPI) activities.
  • Aggregates status updates, analyzes results, troubleshoots problem areas, and recommends solutions.
  • Develops and delivers progress reports, proposals, and requirements documentation, and presentations.
  • Proactively manages changes in project scope, identifies crisis areas, and devises contingency plans.
  • Identifies and manages project dependencies and critical paths as part of overall project plan.
  • Builds, develops, and grows business relationships vital to the success of the project.
  • Conducts project post mortems and creates recommendation reports in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements, processes, and plan designs.
  • Develops best practices and tools for project execution and management.
  • Works with other internal departments to develop and coordinate project design, deliverables, and input.
  • Recommends new P&Ps or Practice Guidelines and updates existing ones as necessary.
  • Facilitates project-related meetings; ensures minutes are documented and action items are tracked and completed by those assigned.
  • Ensures education is created and provided where needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
