  • Overview

    Role:

    The Staffing Services Program Manager is responsible for the overall financial and operational performance of the Staffing Company. The Program Manager recommends and implements Staffing policies and procedures. S/he participates in QAPI initiatives and assists in the development of the annual budget.

     

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree desired; related experience may be substituted for education
    • 3 years’ scheduling and staffing agency experience in healthcare
    • Familiarity with regulatory interpretation and processes
    • Experience in fiscal accountability
    • Ability to effectively communicate (verbal and written)

    • Maintains working knowledge of the professional requirements, including prerequisites for Healthcare Staffing Company licensure and certifications for hospice care disciplines, as well as remain familiar with position specialties at each facility where Staffing provides services.
    • Establishes Staffing services schedules according to specific needs and requirements of the entities.
    • Tracks Staffing usage and prepares for current and projected needs.  
    • Regularly reports on Staffing Company’s performance versus its operational goals.
    • As necessary, collaborates with Clinical Administrators and Medical Directors to identify the most appropriate Staffing employees for assignmentsMaintains documentation in accordance with all related government/legal rules, statutes and regulations.
    • Remains survey ready (i.e., AHCA or Joint Commission) in conjunction with the Company’s survey eligible entities.
    • Participates in the development of the Staffing Company’s budget.
    • Hires, orients and manages employees in accordance with the Organization’s standards, policies and procedures.
    • Helps ensure Staffing employees receive all appropriate and required orientation for each entity in which they perform or may perform services.
    • Obtains regular input from Staffing clients in order to review and evaluate Staffing employees’ efficiency and productivity, and addresses any problems, concerns and issues as they are identified.  
    • Initiates and or participates in pertinent quality assurance and performance improvement (QAPI) activities.
    • Conducts or provides timely input into employees’ performance evaluations, obtaining supplementary feedback about Staffing employees’ performance from managers who have utilized the employees’ services.
    • Assists HR personnel in conducting periodic personnel file audits of Staffing employees.
    • Collaborates with HR and other Staffing clients to project recruitment needs and develop recruiting strategies.
    • Participates with other appropriate management staff in the investigation and resolution of complaints regarding Staffing employees.
    • Approves time and attendance requests and documentation for all direct reports; coordinates efforts with other management staff, such as the Medical Directors and Clinical Administrator, to ensure adequate staffing resources remain available.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.
