  • Overview

    Role:

    The Maintenance II position is responsible for overall, multi-discipline maintenance of all Company properties and

    facilities. This role also requires leadership qualities for the direction and guidance of Maintenance I personnel as

    directed by management when working in a joint project or assignment. Takes direction from the Maintenance

    Specialist to relieve him/her to more urgent or prioritized duties.

    Qualifications:

    High School Diploma/GED or Trade School training; experience may be considered as a substitute for education

    A minimum of 3 years’ experience in general maintenance and/or maintenance/repair of equipment

    Intermediate knowledge of single and polyphase electrical, plumbing, HVAC, infection control, etc.

    Able to lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs.

    Intermediate knowledge of the safe operation of shop tools and equipment

    Works mostly without direct supervision, exercising safety, discretion, sound judgment

    Company Driver - Valid driver’s license and acceptable automobile insurance as per Company policy

    Ability to travel to off-site locations and transport equipment or supplies using personal vehicle (truck)

    Well-developed communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills

    Must be available for on–call duty (nights, weekends, holidays) to handle and/or oversee emergencies, and

    remain accessible by phone

    Job Responsibilities:

    Maintain buildings and repair to the best of his/her ability responding promptly to maintenance request forms.

    Learn the Preventative Maintenance Software Application and incorporate into daily routines.

    Oversee contractors for maintenance (i.e., HVAC, plumbing, etc) and oversee bid process on major repairs or

    construction as directed. Submit purchase orders for approval on projects.

    Monitor and maintain HVAC systems in accordance with Company and Regulatory Agencies’ standards.

    Checking regularly to ensure proper maintenance and repairs are completed.

    Maintain fire prevention and suppression equipment.

    Repair all internal and external lighting.

    Receive all supply deliveries for Facilities Department, as needed (i.e., shop, dietary, office supplies).

    Maintain a clean and safe shop area.

    Perform other duties as assigned.
