  • Overview


    This position leads the requirements development for applying technology to satisfy business needs. Defines and documents internal and external user interfaces and supports system and data requirement clarification and definition. Also, acts as the liaison among internal stakeholders to analyze, document, communicate and validate business and system requirements for applications. The Senior Clinical Analyst supports one or more IT business/clinical systems to provide the maintenance, support, training, and security of the application systems for the Company. Responsibilities include specification development, system configuration, technical support, system upgrades and testing, training, vendor management, and various related tasks as assigned by management.


    • Bachelor's degree in nursing or pharmacy or equivalent preferred.
    • Minimum 5 years' supporting clinical information systems with progressive responsibilities
      • Must be a Nurse or Pharmacist and proficient with EMR, Pharmacy, Compliance and ancillary systems
    • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, and Visio
    • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills; excellent customer service skills
    • Ability to work unsupervised exercising a high degree of discretion and independent judgment
    • Ability to interface with various staff and managers
    • Project management experience leading from Initiation phase to Closure phase
    • Effectively articulate complex information to a variety of technical and non-technical users
    • Ability to understand the customer's needs, research issues, design and deliver quality resolutions
    • Strong analytical and organizational skills; able to effectively manage many tasks simultaneously
    • Ability to plan, organize, execute and oversee testing for system upgrades
    • Demonstrated ability to perform various methods of software testing, including white box/black box testing, positive testing, negative testing, system testing, integration testing, regression testing, or user acceptance testing
    • Demonstrated ability to effectively identify, troubleshoot and resolve highly complex issues with assigned software applications
    • Demonstrated ability to gather highly complex user requirements and translate them into scope documents that are meaningful to both application development and business users; able to promote best practices and procedures related to the use of assigned software applications

    • Job Responsibilities:


    • Support assigned IT systems.
      • Manage vendor as appropriate.
      • Ensure all interfaces with system(s) are working properly.
      • Provide "train-the-trainer" and administrator training as required.
      • Communicate new IT system functionality to users as it is available.
      • Maintain test environment to QA test upgrades, patches, and new functionality; coordinate user acceptance testing.
      • Manage upgrades:
        • Develop work plan for major upgrades.
        • Maintain documentation related to upgrade/patch.
        • Organize and oversee testing for upgrades and patches.
        • Coordinate user acceptance testing with Business Owners.
        • Coordinate with other CIT staff, as needed, to facilitate upgrade/patch.
        • Coordinate with vendor to facilitate upgrade/patch.
      • Provide application and technical support for issues and escalate issues to systems vendor, as required.
      • Work with application system vendors' Support and Development team, as appropriate.
      • Set up new users, manage security, and remove computer access for terminated employees.
      • Maintain roles and modify as needed.
    • Manage all related projects through full systems life cycle. Use corporate development methodology, as appropriate.
    • Log all system issues in tracking software. Respond to assigned tickets within SLA.
    • Coordinate complete and accurate systems documentation, as required.
    • Assist in IT training as part of the Company orientation for all new employees.
    • Work with other team members to coordinate related functionality and interfaces.
    • Participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Continuous Improvement activities.
    • Serve as IT liaison for Business Units.
    • Develop and maintain an understanding of the priorities driving the use of the systems supported.
    • Interface with staff developing strategy as technical advisor for key clinical stakeholders.
    • Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal stakeholders to analyze information needs and functional requirements for all deliverablesOther Duties
    • Coordinate the development and preparation of various reports and statistics as requested by management or staff.
    • Coordinate the production and distribution monthly of data reports as scheduled.
    • Participate in IT "On call" rotation.
    • Assist IT Management in development and maintenance of policies and procedures relating to IS system.
    • Participate in other projects as assigned.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.
