    Position Summary

    The Agency Assistant is a qualified person appointed by the Administrator to coordinate the clerical tasks in the Agency.

     

    Qualifications

    • High School graduate or equivalent with training and experience in clerical functions.
    • Ability to learn, assimilate and perform job duties efficiently.  
    • Ability to organize work procedures, assume responsibility and effectively interact with others.
    • Possesses excellent problem solving techniques and abilities.
    • Must be knowledgeable of the statutory and administrative rules of the state of Florida, and the appropriate federal regulations pertaining to home health agencies.
    • Must be able to see and hear adequately to respond to auditory and visual activities that relate to the coordination of Agency activities.
    • Must be able to speak in a clear concise manner in order to communicate effectively with staff, clients, and other individuals.
    • Ability to communicate and interface effectively with patient and family as well as staff, physicians, and all levels of management.
    • Basic Windows based computer skills.
    • Ability to work effectively within a team setting.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 

    Physical Requirements

    • Sedentary work
    • Lifting less than 10 lbs
    • Stooping, sitting, standing walking and stretching.
    • Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
    • Coping with demands (stresses) that are associated with the job and/or the work environments so that acceptable levels of performance and overall contribution can be maintained.
    • Interaction with physicians, patients, family members, employees and volunteers.
    • Must be able to see and hear adequately to respond to auditory and visual activities that relate to the coordination of Agency activities.
    • Must be able to speak in a clear concise manner in order to communicate effectively with staff, clients, and other individuals.
    • Has adequate mental acuity to perform job requirements.
    • Normal walking between offices and departments. 
    • Environmental Conditions 
    • The employee spends approximately 90% of their day in an enclosed building that is temperature controlled.
